One of the club's first projects was a simple 5' X 5' display layout. Original construction was initiated in the late 1970s. and modifications
and upgrades continued through the '80s.

   The trackplan was a simple folded over figure eight and featured a
short tunnel, a trestle and a coal mine.

   When dissassembled, one side was placed up-side-down over the
other side, making a compact box for storing and transporting. As mentioned earlier, the layout was extensively reworked in the 1980's
and again in the '90s and is now on perminent display at the Steam Railroading Institute in Owasso, Michigan.
